Welcome to Cricket Arena

By booking, accessing, or using the facilities at Cricket Arena, all players, participants, parents/guardians, coaches, and visitors agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions and Safety Rules.

Failure to follow these rules may result in removal from the premises without refund.

1. Facility Access

  • The facility unit is: Unit 3A2.
  • Access is provided through the key box located on the entrance door.
  • The access code and booking details are shared only with the booking holder and must not be shared with others.
  • The key must be returned to the key box immediately after use.
  • The booking holder is responsible for securing the premises after the session.

Upon leaving the facility, users must ensure:

  • Bowling machines are switched OFF
  • Lights are switched OFF
  • The facility is left clean and tidy
  • The door is locked securely
  • The key is returned to the key box

2. Use of Facility

  • The facility may only be used during the booked time slot.
  • No switching or changing lanes without prior permission from management.
  • Only authorised users included in the booking may enter the playing area.
  • Users must behave responsibly and respectfully towards staff, equipment, and other players.
  • Any misuse of equipment or unsafe conduct may result in immediate removal from the premises.

Management reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate bookings at its discretion.

3. Safety Requirements

Cricket involves physical activity and carries an inherent risk of injury. All users acknowledge and accept these risks before participating.

Mandatory Safety Equipment

  • All players are strongly advised to wear appropriate cricket protective equipment at all times.
  • Junior players and children must wear suitable protective gear as recommended under cricket safety guidelines.

Recommended protective equipment includes:

  • Helmet
  • Batting pads
  • Gloves
  • Abdominal guard/box
  • Thigh guards and arm guards where appropriate

Players participate entirely at their own risk.

Cricket Arena shall not be held responsible for injuries, accidents, loss, or damage arising from the use of the facility, bowling machines, equipment, or participation in cricket activities.

4. Children and Supervision

  • Children under 18 years of age must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  • Parents and guardians are fully responsible for the safety, conduct, and supervision of minors using the facility.
  • Cricket Arena does not provide supervision, coaching, childcare, or medical support unless explicitly agreed in writing.

5. Insurance and Liability

  • Users acknowledge that participation in cricket and training activities is voluntary and undertaken entirely at their own risk.
  • Cricket Arena does not provide personal accident insurance for players or visitors.
  • Users are responsible for arranging their own medical, health, or sports insurance where required.

Cricket Arena, its owners, staff, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Personal injury
  • Death
  • Loss or theft of personal belongings
  • Damage to equipment
  • Indirect or consequential losses

except where liability cannot legally be excluded under Irish law.

6. Bowling Machines and Equipment

  • Only cricket balls provided by Cricket Arena may be used in bowling machines.
  • The use of unauthorised balls or equipment is strictly prohibited.
  • If damage occurs due to improper use, unauthorised equipment, negligence, or misuse, the booking holder agrees to pay the full repair or replacement costs.

Users must immediately report any machine fault or damage.

7. CCTV Monitoring

  • CCTV cameras are in operation throughout the facility for safety, security, and insurance purposes.
  • By entering the premises, users consent to CCTV recording.

8. Cleanliness and Conduct

All users must:

  • Leave the facility clean and tidy
  • Dispose of rubbish appropriately
  • Avoid abusive, dangerous, or disruptive behaviour
  • Respect neighbouring businesses and shared areas

Food, alcohol, smoking, vaping, or illegal substances are prohibited inside the playing area.

9. Damage to Property

The booking holder accepts responsibility for any damage caused to:

  • Bowling machines
  • Nets
  • Flooring
  • Lighting
  • Keys or locks
  • Any facility equipment

Repair or replacement costs may be charged accordingly.

10. Booking and Cancellation

  • Bookings are non-transferable unless approved by management.
  • Late arrivals do not extend booking times.
  • Cricket Arena reserves the right to cancel or refuse bookings where necessary for safety, maintenance, operational, or behavioural reasons.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By entering or using Cricket Arena facilities, all users confirm that they:

  • Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
  • Agree to comply with all safety requirements
  • Accept the risks associated with cricket participation
  • Release Cricket Arena from liability to the fullest extent permitted by law
